The Walking Dead is centered on Rick Grimes, a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, Kentucky, his family, and a number of other survivors who have banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies. As the series progresses, the characters become more developed, and their personalities shift under the stress of a zombie apocalypse, most notably Rick’s.
In the beginning of the series, Rick and partner Shane are in a firefight and Rick is shot and enters a coma. Upon waking in a hospital, he discovers the undead are in the building and town. Rick returns home and shortly decides to go to Atlanta, where the survivors were told to await help, to find his wife Lori and son Carl. He discovers the city is crowded with zombies and bumps into Glenn, a scavenger for a band of survivors. Following Glenn, Rick discovers Lori and Carl are okay along with Shane, who is less than happy that his former partner has returned. He also meets new survivors.
The group search for a place to call home, settling in several temporary camps, including a prison, which comes to the attention of an insane man calling himself the Governor. The Governor runs his local city, Woodbury, Georgia, like a dictator and tortures Rick and other members of his group, culminating in an assault. After the prison is made unsecure by an attack, Rick and the surviving members encounter cannibals and a township that is enclosed and safe, but holds a secret.
It has recently gone into production as a movie, with option of a later serials, read on for news on casting and stuffs.
I began pondering whilst watching Evan Almighty, the sequel to Bruce Almighty, where Evan is directed by ‘God’ (Morgan Freeman) to build an ark. He pointed out that he, his wife, and his three sons will build the ark. That’s when the stink of bullshit began, given the size of the ark, it’d be practically impossible to build with just three kids as labor. Although that being said, Noah began building it when he was ’500 years old’ and finished when he was ’600 years old’.
There are two takes on this bullshit age figure, some claim that people ‘lived that long back then’, which is pure pishposh, others claim that they were ‘given extended lives’ which also macks of buttfuckery, then there’s the ‘authors of the scriptures were morons’ which is more likely. At a literal value, 100 years build, a non literal value, we could safely estimate 10 years, with idiot authors adding an extra 0 to everything. Now, either way, 100 years sounds rubbish, so we’ll dismiss that out of hand, let’s work with 10 years. Could you imagine constructing some behemoth of wood with crude hand tools in the middle east, which was very technologically disadvantaged in it’s peasant regions which is where Noah was from? Course not.
I then began to question a conversation I had with a Baptist ‘professor’ from a ‘university’ that teaches creationism, I asked him a little about some dinosaur fossils they have that they claim are ’3,000′ years old. I introduced myself to him as a casual blogger who’s merely curious about these fossils. He immediately got defensive, snooty, rude, and demanded I provide him references as to what journalist outlet I represent and wanted a link to my blog to review my writing before answering my question. So let’s run with the generic creationist view, right. So we have 7 pairs of ‘clean’ animals and 2 pairs of ‘unclean’ animals on the ark. That means 14 of every dinosaur. That’d sink the titanic let alone the ark.
We also have 1.5 million catalogued species of animals that currently exist, with an estimated 50 million yet to be catalogued. So let’s run a median of 25 million. The average weight of an ‘animal’ per unit of measure can be factored in by examining a few dozen heavy animals and a few dozen light, finding a median and you get roughly 14 kg’s (most ‘animals’ are bugs, or small critters y’see), but now let’s do the math. 4.9 million tonnes of clean animals, 1.4 million tonnes of unclean animal. That’s 6.3 million tonnes of animal right there.
The size of the ark is given to us from various faiths as 157m (515ft) by 26.2m (86 ft) by 15.7m (52 ft) or 64,580 meters cubed. This gives us a density of 97.55 kilograms per meter cubed. This density of mass is merely 1g/cm3 off lead. The animals would have to be put through a blender and then compressed to an immense density for these figures to even match up.
That being said, this post did start on Twitter, with a comment of what was vexing me at the time. The Ark was built 5766 BC. We’re 2010 AD. In 7776 years, with over 400 BILLION photos on three of the biggest websites for storing photos online (and 10 billion on Facebook) I have not been able to seek and find a SINGLE IMAGE of a dove carrying a branch, twig, or even an olive, let alone an olive branch. So what’re the odds of that never having been seen since the end of the flood? Improbable, that’s what they are. THE ENTIRE THING MAKES NO SENSE.
I’m sure creationists won’t stop and apply critical thought based on this post, because … well, the entire concept of religion and critical thought in this modern era are diametrically opposed. I think only the Jews have had the bollocks to question ‘Gods will’, a brilliant example of which was when they put ‘god on trial’ in the death camps in WWII (Brilliant and touching film by the same name, really worth watching, reviewed by yours truly a few months back btw!) but the rest of us following Judiac derivatives are too full of cocks to think straight. Mind you, one or two figures may be inaccurate above, but the end result is still incredulous; although I’m sure crazy creationist types will find a single fault in my calculations and write the entire thing off as some random atheist slagging them (Note: I’m not an atheist, and it’s 3am on a Friday night, give me a break.)
There was a mining tax brought in that heavily taxed non-Australian companies looking to exploit our natural resources (exploit being used in it’s nomenclature as what one does to resources, not implying they were doing anything wrong) which would ensure that we, the people of Australia, get our fair share of our assets, splitting profits with the mining corporations 50/50 almost.
This pissed off the faction leaders most of all and gave them a strong standing point to pretend it was all about the tax. What it appears to really have been about is shanking him as he’d delivered on everything they wanted but was focusing more on the people than the politicking bitches in Canberra.
Even well leading up to this there was an uneccessry emphasis in the media on Rudd being a ‘lame duck’. This was simply not true, but an effective method when you consider the low intelligence of the average person and their liability to ‘feel’ and follow sensationalism as opposed to stepping back and evaluating things critically. Rudd was being criticised like assinine twats in high school would, delving into his personality, his look, his speech, everything but the fact he’d followed through with MORE of his election promises than any prior leader and has truly future proofed our nation.
We still have the same policies being applied but with a different leader. It’ll be interesting to see what happens now Gillard has washed the blood off her hands. Regardless, it’s a sad day for libertarians and democracy in Australia. Governments in the party system arguably enough don’t represent or speak for their people for the most part but now I can truly say;
Our government is illegimate and does not represent the will of the people of Australia. Tyranny and betrayal is superior to the votes cast. And if you rock up with the Minister for Defence by your side you’ll always win the coup.
Farewell democratic lipservice they used to give us to make us at least -slightly- delude ourselves we’re a free state.

Quick to bad mouth the ousted Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, the media has played a very curious role in the overnight shock coup run by faction leaders and unions in the Australian Labor Party. The first thing you’ll note is, they’re avoiding the word ‘coup’ even though (and I questioned my language and read up on it) that is what went down. News Ltd, who run most Australian news sources went one step further. News Ltd was very apt at pulling apart everything Rudd did mind you, but they went as far as to even avoid reference to factions, in fighting, or even weasel words like ‘leadership challenge’ and opted for the word ‘spill.’
I’ve had a dozen or so people ask me today what a spill is; my response is the same that history will reflect if you try and research this disgusting coup against the will of the people. Spill is what BP’s oil is doing in the ocean right now. And even at present google yields barely a blip of this political ‘spill.’
The media at present are focusing on the positivity, highlighting that she’s a woman and thus it’s exciting, amazing, and different. Claiming that it wouldn’t be the same if it’s ‘another boring man in a suit’ per one News Ltd commentator. They’re lining up for fallacious logic that if you oppose her it’s because you have a problem with a woman in power (creepy, as I wrote that a political commentator just said that on Channel Nine).
I am happy to have a woman in power and think it’s long overdue. Given that the majority of Australians are female, it makes sense. It’s as overdue as a non-white president was for the US, not that the supression of womens rights here is even comparable to the hostilities and suffering of non-white Americans. What disgusts me is; our first prime minister took power through backstabbing a great bloke who followe through with almost all his promises in record time, a man who (as an ALP PM a rarity (ALP aren’t business savvy like the Libs are, for the sake of non Australians, and usually lead us into a lot of debt but improve living conditions where as Libs lead us into the black and fuck our few constitutional rights in the arse)) saw us through the Global Financial Crisis while emerging unscathed with one of the worlds strongest economies.
He was a man of the people and a populis elect by far, but he trod on the toes of union hard men and wanky factional leaders; the same leaders I was proud in 2010 appeared to have no control over the government with them tending more to our interests than the faction leaders.
To this very minute they’re still dodging the word coup.

Australian Coup: Gillard and Swan oust Rudd, My View
Australian Labor Party politics are a joke. Absolute dogs for shanking the PM who saw us go through the GFC with the strongest economy emergent, and the most popular first term leader ever; backstabbing is a favorite past time in politics though I guess. I’m just disappointed that our first woman PM is through dog tactics and not election.
As loath as I am to get into political debate or discussion on my blog, we’re in a unique position in Australia where we are currently having the leadership of our government challenged by another person who has backing of super sekkrit factions, factions who seem to make decisions on behalf of the Australian people as to who their elected representative is, highlighting the flaws of party-politics as opposed to direct-elected representatives.
Allegedly angered by a morning newspaper report leaked from the Prime Minister’s office, questioning her loyalty, Julia Gillard called senior powerbroker and fellow Victorian MP Bill Shorten. “It pissed everyone in the caucus off,” said a NSW senior factional leader. “And it pissed her off, too. She has been nothing but loyal. And to have that happen was not only stupid but unwarranted.” Sadly actions speak louder than words as our first female Prime Minister–something much overdue–may very well be in power through skullduggery as opposed to free election. This taints all progress of equal rights for women in Australia and will put the potential of our first female PM into a situation where people will point out that it wasn’t the fill of the people.
Just before Question Time at 2.30pm, the Deputy Prime Minister assembled a select group of Cabinet colleagues and co-conspirators. They had been trying to get her to challenge his leadership ‘for weeks’, giving strong backing to the claims from the Prime Ministerial office questioning her loyalty to the elected leadership and the will of Australian voters.
By late afternoon, Shorten, fellow Victorian Senator David Feeney, NSW MP Tony Burke and South Australian right wing factional leader Don Farrell went to see Ms Gillard in her office.
They had been conspiring for the past week and they wanted her to challenge. Powerful AWU boss Bill Ludwig told the ABC Mr Rudd is “toxic”. “We have a better chance of holding government with Julia Gillard that we would have with Rudd,” Mr Ludwig said. Former Premier Peter Beattie has backed Ms Gillard, telling the ABC “she is a very talented woman”. Transport Union boss Hughie Williams said Ms Gillard will prevail. “It’s quite obvious they have the numbers. We’ll have a new prime minister of Australia,” Mr Williams said.
Queensland Senator Barnaby Joyce said the overnight coup attempt against Mr Rudd has been engineered by factional leaders who have taken over the running of the country. “It is running on auto-pilot in the face of faceless people and faceless men who (were) never elected,” Senator Joyce said.
“We’re basically realising that the whole direction and metaphor of this Government was flawed and we’re off to – gosh only knows.”
It is interesting to note that many conservative biased media outlets are painting this as ‘loyal Gillard reluctantly challenges leadership’, media outlets that tend to follow the normative Liberal bias, however it should be noted that the ‘factions’ behind this coup are ultra-conservative Laborites and traditionalists as opposed to progressives.
Shortly after 7pm, Ms Gillard’s office called the Prime Minister’s Office and told them that Ms Gillard wanted to see the PM. The pair had been due to have dinner later in the evening at the Lodge. Mr Rudd was called back from a function to celebrate the 20th anniversary of parliamentary service for Senator Nick Sherry, around the corner from his office in the Ministerial wing of Parliament House.
With Ms Gillard was Defence Minister and fellow left-wing factional heavyweight John Faulkner, a NSW senator.
She informed the PM that she intended to challenge him for the leadership. She wanted a ballot. The pair remained behind closed doors for almost two hours.
As the two were locked in an intense negotiation, interrupted twice by Rudd loyalists Anthony Albanese and Lindsay Tanner, the factional leader from NSW Mark Arbib hit the phones.
Shorten, dining in the Canberra suburb of Kingston with colleagues including Sports Minister Kate Ellis, was also glued to the phone. But by 9pm the conspirators were confident they had the numbers to swing behind her should she decide to do it.
The answer was revealed at 10.20pm when the PM called a press conference and revealed he had been visited by Ms Gillard, and confirmed that the challenge was on, after media outlets erroneously claimed his press conference was because he was ‘resigning as prime minister’.
This morning, at 9am, she goes into a special caucus meeting with the conspiratorial bulk of the members of the NSW Labor Right, the Victorian Right, the South Australian Right and the Victorian Left behind her.
Queensland right-wing powerbroker, Senator Joe Ludwig, was also on board. The deal was that Treasurer Wayne Swan – the man who voted against Rudd in the spill against Kim Beazley – would be Ms Gillard’s deputy.
The Victorian Right had been courting Gillard for the past two weeks, urging her to challenge. “We can’t win with this bloke,” they told her. Ironically, if Labor enact a change in leadership the chance of them winning at the next election, or next several elections is slim to none given that trechery is not really smiled upon by the average punter.
Arbib, the NSW numbers man who put Rudd into the leadership in 2006, had been sounding out support among select MPs for a change.
The internal polling provided by the party’s national secretary Karl Bitar was worse than the public polling, which had already put the Government in a losing position. But some outlets Gillard’s loyalty prevented her from doing the unthinkable.
This is why caucus driven parliaments are corrupt. Kevin Rudd was spoken to by Julia Gillard who brought a request for a ballot of leadership of the Australian Labor Party, a legal bloodless coup d’etat for all intents and purposes. Kevin Rudd was voted in by the people of Australia and yet he is standing down, with a special meeting to be held tomorrow on leadership with a ‘number of factional leaders’ no longer supporting his leadership. Kevin will be contesting at the ballot tomorrow, with Julia Gizzard leaving it until late night to pop her coup. The main issue is asylum seekers, climate change, emissions trading, which is where faction leaders are having a wobbly.
A caucus is something most non-Australians may not be familiar with, but it’s fundamentally a government within a government allowing crazed parliamentarians to push batshit agendas that aren’t representative of Australians or the people who voted for them. The caucus can turn on the Prime Minister and screw him over, as we’re seeing for the first time. Kevin keeps pointing out that he was elected by the PEOPLE of Australia and not factional leaders.
While I’d be chuffed to see Australia have their first woman PM, I don’t agree with Gizzard’s coup, as loathsome as K-rudd can be at times with not following through. This is why we should elect the person, not the party, and vote for WHO we want to represent us, not just a brand name with a random and (obviously) changeable line-up. It’s abhorrent.
Ps: Early rumours that he stepped down were incorrect, there will be a secret ballot held by the Labor caucus tomorrow at 9AM.
As most of my international readers (and let’s face it, that’s like 800,000 per week of you, Australia only has two modems, and we have to share) are aware, our government here have been pushing an agenda to ‘censor’ the internet with a mandatory ‘clean feed’ for some time. There were protests many years ago to try and stop them but the overall response of the average punter back when they could have made a difference was “It’ll never happen.” so as much as it pains me to say it, we kind of do deserve what we get with that. But recent pure asshattery to come from our parliamentarians–who are so detached from reality they can’t even operate VCR’s, which is ironic as you can’t even buy them anymore–is something that explains why anti-virus companies were very pro-filter.
The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Communication (They don’t represent us, just batshit vocal minorities, I assure you) have stated that all Australian’s should be forced to install anti-virus and firewall software on their computers before being allowed to connect to the internet under a ‘new plan’ to ‘fight cyber crime’. And if their computer did get infected, internet service providers could cut off their connection until the problem was resolved.
Those are two of the recommendations to come from a year-long multi-million inquiry into cyber crime. They spent all the money on K-Rudd’s crack and then did an all nighter the night the findings were due. Results of the inquiry, titled Hackers, Fraudsters and Botnets: Tackling the Problem of Cyber Crime, were released last night in a 260-page report, there is no mention whether it met copyspace clearance however and may have been plagerised from first year ethics students at UWA.
In her foreword, committee chair Belinda Neal said cyber crime had turned into a “sophisticated underground economy”, before taking a rasping breath from the pipe under the table. “In the past decade, cyber crime has grown from the nuisance of the cyber smart hacker into an organised transnational crime committed for vast profit and often with devastating consequences for its victims,” Ms Neal said. I postulate whether she is referring to the ‘russian mobsters’ who ‘hacked’ a dentists website and ‘uploaded child pornography’ to ‘make money’ as Senator Conman Conroy stated when asked why a dentists office was on the super secret government black list.
During its inquiry the committee heard a growing number of Australians were being targeted by cyber criminals and that increasing internet speeds were likely to make the situation worse. Something we don’t inherently need to worry about in Australia given that we still pay several hundred dollars per month for speeds not exceeding ADSL1 technology branded as ADSL2+ with a lot of fine print that anything over 56k dialup ‘in their terms’ is ADSL2+ (forget international standards here folks).
It also heard the problem was costing Australian businesses as much as $649 million a year. Including dentists with large kiddy porn collections replacing their virtual store front. The committee looked at several different examples of cyber crime, including hacking, phishing, malware and botnets. They intently carried out this research by leeching torrents, using Back Orifice on inter-office computers, and asking each other for their banking details from fraudulent hotmail accounts, such as imnotsenatorconroy@hotmail.com.
Among its final 34 recommendations were:
The creation of an around-the-clock cyber crime helpline. This, I agree with. I don’t pay for phone calls so I will ring them and chant “Cocks, cocks, cocks.” until the end of time.
Changes to the law to make unauthorised installation of software illegal. What the fuck, seriously.
Companies who release IT products with security vulnerabilities should be open to claims for compensation by consumers. This I agree with. Microsoft, give me moneys.
Another of its recommendations was to create a new “e-security code of practice” that would define the responsibilities of internet service providers and their customers. Cocks, cocks, cocks.
The code of practice would see companies like Telstra give their customers security advice when they signed up and inform them if their computer ever appeared to be compromised. More fine print we won’t read and will click yes to.
For their part, customers would have to install anti-virus and firewall software before their connection was activated and endeavour to keep the software up-to-date. It pisses me off enough as it is when they ask what kind of computer I’m using to access the net, when half the time I’m not even using a computer at all, nor any OS they’d have heard of. Find me anti-virus software for my xbox, or my iPhone hard-booted to run Lunix (yes, Lunix, no, it’s not a typo) please K-Rudd.
If a customer’s computer was infected by malware, the service provider could introduce gradual restrictions and eventually cut off their internet connection entirely until the machine was “remediated”. This implies that the Government will not only be ‘filtering’ us, but also packet sniffing our shit in a clandestine way.
This entire thing just makes me want to pre-emptively ring that hotline, or maybe Senator Conroy’s office. In fact, brb, cocks, cocks, cocks time.
I’ve been having billing, speed, and now shaping issues since I started with Bigpond when I was lured over to them during the TPG nightmare after calling Tracy in their complaints department who put me onto Scott who was pretty obtuse and was just tennising me around as far as my problem but asked cockily why I don’t just use Bigpond. I replied that I wrote them off immediately because their pricing is utterly unrealistic compared to every other ISP where I’d get for $39 what they sell for $200ish. He told me they can match and pitched $89 flat for ADSL2+ 200GB @ 20MBPS guaranteed. I agreed, he put me back on to Tracy to sign me up, poof lost connection. I’ve been chasing that offer since, and was talked into signing up for $129 plus $9 (phone) for -100- GB with a guarantee of 20MBPS or the contract is void, and I’ve yet to see half of 20MBPS but sure have had some interesting problems since. (For Telstra’s sake I’ve included my most recent phone logs, on my old PC I’ve got a crapload more if you want them.)
I’ve been getting obscenely large bills, but one was a telephony charge error for an install that didn’t happen, but I’m still getting charged $40 something per month for my home phone even though the ‘fishing bundle’ I was offered took into account my Foxtel and home phone. I’m refusing to pay the Bigpond bill until they sort out my speed issue because frankly I don’t trust them, but at 1:20 last night I noticed my speed was about 40 kbps.
Ringing up to complain this morning, I got told that I was over cap (100gb, nowai?) at 55 gb, I pointed out that that was the first thing I checked, she then stated since then I’ve downloaded 450 gb. I professed that as much as I’d like to break the laws of physics, I can’t. She palmed me off to billing.
So, Telstra, if you’re reading this, can you please sort this out for me? My username is bashprompt [at ] bigpond, of course. Let me know if you can halp via Twitter kthx. :)
8:22 AM 15/06/2010 Called Telstra after noting that my service was suspended after refusing to pay an erroneous bill of $607 whilst I have yet to receieve satisfactory service from their Bigpond department (Contract implicitly states in no uncertain terms 20mbps minimum service). Spoke with a female named ‘Miles’, she asked me if I’d be paying, I declined as the bill is still in error and I am not receiving adequate speed per contract.
Period they are claiming for landline is Feb to July, which should be 5@$9.90 $49.50, however the first month was TPG naked DSL thus the cost was incurred by and paid for by TPG, so that should be $39.60.
The period they are claiming for ADSL2+ is March to July which would be 4@$109.90 thus $439, however as I explained to them, and as is written in my case notes as an addendum to my contract I made the signing agent write IN to my contract that I will not be paying nor will I be bound to them for net access contractually until they provide ADSL2+ speeds, of which I am receiving approximately half the speed required for it to be in that standard.
I made a token payment of 40.44 (Receipt# 1667704396) for the landline, which is what they are claiming the ‘month’ bill was, will make additional to meet $49.50 once I sort out the Bigpond issue. Still yet to find the mythical $89.99 flat offer that Scott (manager from complaints) offered me that juped me into signing on with Bigpond with promise that they’d track him down on his offer, I don’t understand why I’m paying $129 for what iPrimus offer for $49 naked.
8:34 AM 15/06/2010 Transferred to billing department, spoke with a woman who explained that they weren’t taking into account my Foxtel and hadn’t set up the billing for the account properly which is why my landline was twice what it should be, she asked several other details of me to be able to find my Foxtel account to link it. After ten minutes of waiting with intermittant comments from her saying the computer was still trying to find my account she terminated the call without comment. They have my contact number, will see if they try and call me back or whether I’ve just been ditched.
7:17 AM 21/06/2010 Contacted Telstra technical support to report my connection running well below agreed speed, pulling 50kbps instead of 20,000kbps (20mbps). Placed on hold. 7:27 AM 21/06/2010 call terminated by Telstra end, ditched again, yey.
7:28 AM 21/06/2010 Called Bigpond back, again, went through to an operator but was placed on hold immediately, spoke with Rachel, explained that I’m calling about the same issue. She said I’ve used 55gb and I’m shaped, I explained I’m on the 100gb plan, she stated I’ve used 450gb from the last time I checked (1:26 AM was when I checked my usage last, with the problem presenting at 1:20), I explained that’s simply impossible. She told me to contact 137663 3 3 regarding billing. I asked why I have to contact billing, she said because they’re closed. I asked why that’s even an issue given that it’s a technical fault, she said that they have very limited access to function on accounts and billing are the only ones who can look into cap issues. I pointed out that this is very unprofessional and that tech support should handle all this behind the scenes as an in house issue not palm the customer off just because they can’t solve the problem prima facie. She had no idea what I was talking about, so I thanked her and will contact billing.

Upcoming horror: Cloverfield 2, Silent Hill 2, Rec 2
Wet dream come true, right? These are just industry rumours, so don’t quote me on them, or do if you like idgaf. Cloverfield 2 has been “in talks,” as Paramount is trying to work out a deal with original director Matt Reeves, along with Abrams and writer Drew Goddard since the end of Cloverfield’s production, but given that JJ has nothing going for him now Lost ended, a little birdy has told me that a late 2010 production is on the cards.
The obvious sequel to the successful game-to-film adaptation is in the works, with Davis Films aiming to shoot the movie in 2010 after Resident Evil 4, which it’s now prepping. Sadly, given that Resident Evil has always been an absolute crap franchise, even for zombie-related material, we’ll probably see 50,000 lurkers coming out of a shoe box big enough to fit 0.17 of them. It’s said that if Christophe Gans doesn’t return as director that they’ll possible seek another foreign director although he’s expressed interest in staying with the franchise, but if he is unable to, he’ll remain close to production and feels that the visual style and tone of the first film should be kept in tact. Roger Avary (Silent Hill, Beowulf) will return and has signed on the dotted line.
Rec 2 is out and finished, it won’t be in cinema’s in Australia until the end of the world (see: 2012?) but is available at Pirate Bay as a torrent download with hard coded English subs, it follows the storyline of Rec, but sadly because they’ve again opted not to use English the subtitles really do detract from something visceral like a body-horror as the Rec franchise has come to be seen. This means that there’ll be a Quarantine 2 (Quarantine was the English language variant, American shot version of Rec) which means more tardy American B-grade actors aplenty and a quality overall dimished yet still superior to the non-English version due to no distracting subs and better production elements bad actors aside.
Yes, it’s real. Yes it’s here. And yes I included a link where you can download Kendra Wilkinson’s sex tape, “Kendra Exposed” which Vivid Entertainment released despite Kendra’s legal battle to prevent it. Kendra’s lawyer wrote to Vivid:
“The video is private and highly confidential taken for private use and not for public disclosure. Any exploitation of the video would be a gross violation of Miss Wilkinson’s constitutional and common law rights of privacy.”
Kendra is said to be worried what her husband Hank Baskett, Jr. is going to think of her after the tape’s release and that it might ruin her marriage! But Vivid doesn’t seem to care too much about that as CEO Steve Hirsch says:
“After reviewing our legal position we remain confident of our right to distribute the video. Thus Vivid.Com plans to release Kendra Exposed within the next several weeks.”
A rep for Kendra added, “During this difficult time, Kendra and her family would greatly appreciate the respect of their privacy.”
Not only were there multiple sex tapes, but multiple partners and while Kendra has threatened to sue if the tapes are released she has not returned requests for comment about her attempts to secretly sell the tapes and the company she formed in November, 2008 to do so. Unfortunately the leaked version involves some fugly ranga and is a single shoot single partner thing.
While attempting to sell the tapes in 2008 Kendra was already with Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver Hank Baskett, who is now her husband. She needed the approval of Playboy’s Hugh Heffner to go through with the deal, as she was starring in her final season of The Girls Next Door.
I’m going to save everyone a lot of trouble and make of list of things not in Kendra’s sex tapes:
1. Unicorns.
2. Condoms.
3. Her husband.
Without further ado, we’ll respect Vivid’s copyright as much as they respected her privacy:
Okay, so ‘fun’ is misleading, what I meant to say is ‘charity’. There are so many phones coming out that the waste of technological accessories being stuffed in drawers is peaking at record highs. I’m as much to blame as anyone else, as I always have the most current gadget, see: iPhone 4G ASAP pls. So what do you do with all those old cell phones lying around? Do you give it to charity, recycle it, or palm it off for cash? Some fantastic organisations provide battered women with a cell phone in times of need, or resell them on for charity fund raising, but it’s really up to you what you do with it, but here are ten good example sites that will help you get rid of that old tech. These are services I’ve stumbled across, and haven’t tried myself nor implicitly endorse.
1. Cellforcash.com is a website that allows the consumer to recycle cell phones for a cash reward. They also allow you to donate phones to people in need.
2. Pacebutler.com is a website that promises up to fifty dollars for donating a used cell phone.
3. Flipswap.com is a website that allows you to search for local stores where you can trade in your cell phone. This website also promises you cash for recycling your cell phone.
4.Freerecycling.com is another site that allows you to recycle your cell phone with them for free but that being said in Australia the government has tech recycling programs that trump this.
5. Phoneiscash.com is a website that guarantees a pay out for sending in your unwanted cell phones. They don’t pay high, but it’s money for nothing.
6. Collectivegood.com allows the consumer to donate their cell phones to charitable causes. All you have to do to qualify is fill out their questionaire and hit submit, which is a bit much of an ask for a donation site, and they also allowed people to donate to political agendas in the past so a bit iffy about this one (albeit they allowed you to donate to Obama or Mccain, so it wasn’t really one line approach.)
7. Cashmyphone.com is yet another website that allows the consumer to recycle their mobile phone for cash. They also have some dodgy affiliate program promising 10% of anyone who donates using your ‘affiliate code’.
8. Simplysellular.com is a website that allows the consumer to sell their used cell phone for cash.
9. The website wadt.org is a charitable organization that helps abused women and children get on their feet.
10. Cellphonesforsoldiers.comis a charitable organization that allows the consumer to donate their cell phones, which are sold and the profits are used to purchase calling cards for American soldiers. Kind of lame, but I know a lot of Americans read my blog and I know you guys are super into the whole YEY PAY-TREE-O-TIZM bullshit.
This morning Australian news sensationalised (gasp, shock) a new Auditor-General’s report reveals more than 13,000 soldiers are not considered battle ready. About 7300 had either failed the basic fitness test – the most arduous element of which is a 2.4km run – or hadn’t done the test in the last six months. About 5800 Diggers failed weapons proficiency tests or were overdue for refreshers.
The Auditor-General found only 18,900 soldiers, about 53 per cent of troops, were ready to go at short notice.
Now let’s draw things into perspective. The Australian Bureau of Statistics cites that the average weekly income of an Australian is $1,268.50 with the average public sector employee being exactly a hundred more at $1,368.50. There are several methods of entry to employment with the Australian Defence Force (ADF), but I’m writing this primarily as a post-grad qualified guy who dabbled with the idea of off-setting university costs with enrolment for some time before realising it just had no financial worth at all. If you’re a professional with even reasonable qualifications you can easily make four to five times in private sector as you would with the ADF. But let’s assume you’re not.
Let’s assume you’re a regular person who signs up at age 18, for the first two years you’ll be getting 2/5ths of the average weekly wage Australian’s would get elsewhere. On completion of training, you’ll get a base wage of $25-$30k based on the salary scale on the ADF website. At the HIGHEST non-commission rank you can reach (and let’s face it, a lot of ADF personel can spend twenty years in and not get a commission) CPO/WO2/FSGT you will be on $1,138.53 so you’re still falling $100 short of the national, or $200 of pub. sec.
The biggest insult of it all is, part time ADF employees don’t pay income tax on their ADF salary, whereas full timers pay the same income tax as civillians. So drop several more hundred off that reach for full-timers as Australia is one of the worlds highest taxed nations (not to mention surprise tax, as I like to call it, on almost everything you purchase, from GST, to stamp duty, to other mythical unicorn taxes, speeding fines, bus lane fines, parking fines that hedge just short of $300 a piece, you name it).
So it’s safe to say we’re a reasonably expensive nation to live in, the ADF are paying fuck all, and then people rage at them for having people who can’t be arsed. Would you do your job for their wage? Would you do THEIR job for their wage? Fuck no.
An object in the sky spreads radiation over North America. Fearing terrorism, U.S. Homeland Security agents are dispatched to investigate and contain the damage. What they discover will have implications for the entire world. So reads the bi-line of one of the, pun intended, pioneer films shot with intent for torrent release.
Pioneer One is the latest project from Josh Bernhard and Bracey Smith whose previous indie feature The Lionshare, became VODO’s biggest success to date with over 450,000 downloads since its release. The success of the project inspired the writer/director duo to develop this quality drama in collaboration with VODO and its distribution partners. With a successful distribution of the pilot they’re hunting for the donors and sponsors that will make the continuation of the show possible.
The show’s pilot was shot for just $6000, raised through the micro-funding platform Kickstarter. “This production was possible due in no small part to the willingness of talented, professional people working for free,” explains Bernhard. “From actors to composers, they did this because they believed in the project and wanted to see it happen. The production was a journey in and of itself. Check out the video blogs that were posted to the web that tell the story from script to finished episode”: vimeo.com/channels/pioneerone.
The initial pilot is very short, and you really don’t see where they dropped the $6k in donations, aside from knowing they’re operating one camera. Or someone, rather, is operating one camera, who is clearly not qualified to be doing so based on the very amateur film studentish angles used and the inability to smoothly frame a shot. It feels as though the entire thing was shot in one take day with no reshooting scenes that didn’t play out well, especially during a lot of the two person conversations where the camera is trying to stick to the rule of thirds but the persons are so close to each other they’re basically cutting a person out each time the opposite speaks and vice versa.
I don’t mean to overly criticise it, it’s a good attempt, but it just lacks a lot, and doesn’t seem to be worth the $6k spent. They better bust into zombie apocalypse and bunker survival soon because they can drop their costs dramatically if they went the route of true survival horror. Oh well, here’s hoping.
The global market leader in browser-based massively multiplayer online games (MMOG), Bigpoint, demonstrated the first technical demo of Battlestar Galactica Online at E3 Expo in Los Angeles. A tactical space combat and adventure MMOG based upon Syfy’s Battlestar Galactica series, Battlestar Galactica Online (http://www.bgo.bigpoint.com) will be shown by appointment only in the West Hall, booth 4336.
The demo will highlight the Unity engine technology that will drive Battlestar Galactica Online game experience and demonstrate how the game’s browser-based platform will reach the huge global audience already playing browser-based MMOGs on Bigpoint.com and through Bigpoint’s many popular distribution partners. The game, however, will be remarkably shit and is set to disappoint BSG fans, as they have come to expect since the original leak in 2007 of an MMORPG that went vaporware, then MMORPG, then vaporware, then MMOG (MMOG is also secret code for “Sucks cock harder than a $2 hooker.”)
The debut trailer for Battlestar Galactica Online is now available on the official E3 Expo virtual press room and the BGO Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/bgo).

Waking up I found that more people suffered foot in mouth disease, with another racism row in some silly ball sport as always. This time some eighty year old dildo referred to Australian aboriginies as ‘cannibals’, pointing out the ‘lights were off’ so he couldn’t pick any of them. Sunrise featured a backpedal by Koshy for an ‘Italian’ joke, where he tried to argue dissimilarity between the two instances of racism.
One thing I question is, is there a responsibility within the media to ignore, or at least not sensationalise dicks? I mean, it’s all well and good to scream public right to know, but do I really care or want to know that some anachronistic cunt who played some random three letter abbreviated version of football thinks X or Y? Public right to know more often than not leads to sensationalism which makes for ‘good reading’ for the media, but destroys lives and keeps alive debates that shouldn’t even be debatable anymore.
The irony of football variants, for those outside Australia, is that most of the best players in the last few decades have been indigenous Australians, so for ‘footy fans’ to show racism let alone established icons when the victim of their jibes are the people who’ve launched the game to whole new levels of competativeness and talent is pretty daft.

As if the confirmation that the microbes found in the 90′s in a chunk of Mars as life wasn’t a kick in the nuts enough this month, or the finding of LIVING life on Titan, or water on Europa this year. If religion wasn’t disproven enough for people to stop killing each other because X doesn’t follow Y sect or some sociopathic nonsense, then the following is a proof that $deity hates Christians: -
A SIX- storey-tall statue of Jesus Christ with his arms raised along a highway was struck by lightning in a thunderstorm on last night and burned to the ground, police said.
The King of Kings statue, one of southwest Ohio’s most familiar landmarks, had stood since 2004 at the evangelical Solid Rock Church along Interstate 75 in Monroe, just north of Cincinnati.
The sculpture, nearly 19 metres tall and 12 metres wide at the base, showed Jesus from the torso up and was nicknamed Touchdown Jesus because of the way the arms were raised, similar to a referee signalling a touchdown in a game of football.
